For example, Dr. Henning L\u00f6ser, Head of the\u00a0<\/strong>Audi Production\u00a0Lab at\u00a0Audi\u00a0AG,\u00a0joined the Cisco team for an Innovation Talk<\/a> and Cube interview<\/a> about the convergence of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT). Dr. L\u00f6ser shared details about the company\u2019s\u00a0innovative plans to virtualize key production assets with the goal to increase flexibility, lower costs, reduce maintenance, and improve security. Instead, they need to invest in software<\/em> that can provide the needed capabilities.<\/p>\n This paradigm shift was a key message emerging from the iTalk about Audi\u2019s collaboration with Cisco. As Dr. L\u00f6ser has noted, \u201cTo increase security, decrease support requirements, and improve flexibility, Audi is developing its Edge Cloud for Production (EC4P) platform.
